Rock near the Kojori fortress

You will find the ruins of the Kojori fortress on a high cliff just a 15-minute drive from Tbilisi. It was built by order of the famous Queen Tamara in the 13th century. There is a legend that this was her favorite fortress and perhaps it even became the last refuge of the great queen.

Near the fortress, s wide there are several picturesque rocky outcrops with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, Tbilisi and even the Great Caucasus Range. Just imagine how you stand on the edge of these rocks and say “yes” to each other!
